About Rebundle
After one too many itchy scalps from wearing her favorite protective styles, founder Ciara Imani May realized she deserved better — and set out to create it for all of us.

Through deep research into sustainability, scalp health and material innovation, she turned over every stone to develop hair that truly cares for both people and planet.

Rebundle is for the eco-girl, the next-gen girlie, the cool mom of three, those with sensitive scalps — and everyone in between who wears braids.

We’re done settling for discomfort and hidden toxins. Here’s to more comfort, more transparency, and less waste.

About the lecture The Hair We Heal, The Women We Become

An honest and critical look at the Black hair industry today. Our natural hair has taken a remarkable journey, shaped by culture, beauty, and survival. To understand where our contemporary hair practices come from, we travel back to our roots: pre-colonial Africa, a time when our hair had a voice and told stories about who we were. Here, we discover the freedom, creativity, and strength of our ancestors.

From these insights, we look at today: our styles, hair practices, and products. We explore how historical oppression affects our hair and self-image, and how by consciously caring for our hair, letting go of harmful practices, and embracing our natural beauty, we come closer to our roots. In this way, we build self-confidence, strengthen our identity, and become more empowered as women.

About BE BRAIDED
Like many of us, Omara’s relationship with her afro hair has been a journey. From a full head of curls in childhood, to chemical treatments in her teens, to discovering the natural hair movement — a turning point that transformed everything.

What never changed was her ability to braid from a young age.

In 2018, she founded BE BRAIDED, a brand rooted in loving your natural self. Today, through Braiders University, Omara shares both the technical skills and the cultural knowledge needed to care for afro hair through braiding — with intention, pride and love.
