Beauty has always been defined and redefined - too often by others. When the Sun Hit the Petals is a poetic short film exploring Black femininity, emotional baggage, and beauty. In a cultural landscape still learning to make room for stories that don't follow a linear path, Goldiie's work offers something rarer: a film that trusts its audience to sit with the unfinished, the felt, the quietly radical. The evening opens with a panel conversation - with director Goldiie and director of photography Ian Bodo del Angel.
