Coffee & Cake with Sandy Alibo - a powerhouse based in Accra, Ghana.
Sandy Alibo is a community builder and cultural entrepreneur based in Ghana. She is the founder of Surf Ghana Collective, an organisation using sport, culture and creative spaces to create opportunities for young people. Over the past decade, she has developed projects including Freedom Skatepark, Ghana’s first public skatepark, Vibrate Space, a community creative hub in Accra, and Surf House in Busua. Her work sits at the intersection of community, culture and infrastructure, exploring how spaces can bring people together and support the next generation of African creatives and athletes.
@orisun.studio and @showroom_ams join forces and network for this informal get together, a meet and greet with Sandy over coffee and cake whilst we explore possible ideas for intercontinental collaboration and exchange programs between the African diaspora and local African creative talents.
If you work with creatives, the African diaspora or are cooking on a collaboration between continents: come join us! Or if you’re a fan of Sandy’s work: you’re more than welcome.
